Made every year by Estelle Rosenberg Eisler in honor of her Aunt Rose Feldman Dittenheimer
1 1/2 loaves of whole wheat bread
3 green peppers, sliced very thin,
2 large onions, sliced thin,
3 eggs, slightly beaten,
2 Tbl. Poultry seasoning .
Salt and pepper.
Veg. Oil or chicken fat.
- Toast bread in 350 oven.
- .Tear into pieces.
- Put in colander and sprinkle with water.
- Wring out and add seasoning.
- Place In casserole and bake in 350 oven for 50 min.
Notes from Estelle: I now add slices mushrooms and red peppers in place of green or combo. I also cube bread, toast and lightly moisten.
